our story
We were given the opportunity to move to the farm after Krista's grandparents (the late Peter Z. and Erna Hoeppner) retired and moved to town in 2015. They lived here for 49 years, farming the land and raising their 5 kids in the farming way of life. They were not afraid to work hard and did whatever it took to make a living on the farm, trying many different things from milking dairy cattle to operating a large hatching flock of chickens.

It's our dream to continue in their footsteps, working hard just as they did, and raising our own family to love this farming lifestyle.

We are slowly moving towards more sustainable and natural farming practices in raising our animals. This means:
- all our animals have access to pasture and sunshine in the spring, summer and fall seasons
- antibiotics are only used when an animal is sick or injured, not as a preventative health measure
- hormones and steroids are never used
- we are moving towards only non-GM feeds on our farm in addition to our home grown grains

If you have any questions about our practices, please contact us. Better yet, come visit us and see for yourself!
